As soon as the government notice was issued, Webasto (Changchun) immediately established the task force team, involving MD, Senior Manager Administration Public Affair, Operator Manager, Manager Quality, Manager Purchase, HSE and Manager Human Resources&Administration and held an emergency meeting to actively cooperate with the government's epidemic prevention work and discuss the emergency plan. Supply Chain Arrangement?
SCM department timely investigated the production capacity of raw material suppliers, understand the changes of customer demand and road transportation status, constantly adjust the balance sheet and production plan, and make emergency records in advance for the reduction of production capacity caused by the failure of timely return of racks or personnel isolation. In order to prevent and control the epidemic situation, we adopted the non-contact process for truck drivers, strengthened the management of third-party personnel and the incoming material disinfection policy. In the face of shutdown of many plants in and around Changchun, shortage of raw materials, short age of personnel, obstruction of long-distance transportation of finished products and heavy snow weather, supply chain management are always vigilant and try their best to meet customer needs day and night.

HR department started the dynamic monitoring of personnel info and timely understood the health and quanterine status of each employee, as well as the preparation for production recovery. We organize a series of anxiety release on-line training, hope to assist all employees to delimite the anxiety during quanterine.
To ensure the orderly production under closed management, Admin and purchase colleagues quickly purchase bedding, hygiene products and other necessary life materials.?
Colleagues from Admin and Production department coordinated, placed and distributed all kinds of materials overnight, did disinfection in public areas and the security, cleaning, canteen and shuttle bus service personnel fought with us 24 hours todo a good job in logistics support. Admin colleagues keep the daily communication and survey with the on-site operators to collect their demand and do quick response. Despite of the difficult situation to purchase vegetables and others in Changchun market, enough goods and foods are reserved in plant.
On March 25th, MD and related managers organized online communication meeting with those group employees to deliver appreciation, understand their situation and ask for their demand.

Till now, office staff are do home office. Nearly one hundred of operators and adminservice staff, including canteen, cleaning, guard, driver and others voluntarily stay atcompany under grid management for the closed management of production to ensurethe necessary production and delivery.

Since the end of February, COVID-19 has been spring back throughout Jilin province. Successively, Changchun government released a series of policies to do the epidemic prevention and control. At the first time, our management team held an emergency meeting to actively cooperate with the government's epidemic prevention work and discuss the internal emergency plan. We experience the most severe and challenging time together.
Company have established the task force team with dynamic management method to face all various changes and difficulties, daily update the information to closely understand COVID-19 situation, prevention measures, government policies and get support from government and customers, customer demand, supplier situation, production delivery, purchase emergency stuff, people caring, admin service, and the most important one is company daily take care and follow up employees health status. We are happy to hear that all of us are healthy now.
We sincerely thanks the colleagues who work in task force team, you work very hard, nearly 24 hours stand by, teamwork everywhere and every time, you could solve all issues and urgent case together with very fast speed, as your great efforts and contributions, company operation is smoothly running, which greatly interprets the spirit of teamwork and our high efficiency.

In this special Covid-19 situation, in order to let all employees understand what happened in time, I will keep you updated and shared the latest information with you.
Firstly, I would like share with you all our employees are in good health and 99% employees finished the 6-round PCR test.
Since March 26th, government further strengthened the management and control policy, hereby hope every employee could positively and cooperate follow government measures.
From company side, the task force team daily organize meeting to follow up government policy, latest prevention requirements, customer demand, supplier and delivery status, and also take care every employees’ health status.
Until now, there are 82 employees, 3 outsourcing staff and 12 Admin service suppliers who live in plant to ensure the production and delivery. Enough goods and foods are reserved to ensure the living security.
Today, the good news is 8 operators and 1 cleaning staff are released from quarantine in company, with negative results during PCR test, they could be back to production and work.
On March 25th, related managers and myself organize online communication meeting with those group employees to deliver appreciation, understand their situation and ask for their demand.
Besides, we also actively response to meet requirement from BBAC and also join FA-VW AU 380 project production recovery preparation survey. We must be prepared at any time.
And influenced by the Covid-19, the materials are shortage, the delivery also meet different difficulties, but company is closely contacted with government and customer to get support and solve problems in time.
During this period, FAW-VW Service Bureau visited Webasto to inspect the epidemic prevention and the resumption preparation and government did secret inspections.

Hope all is well.
Recently we have received good news one piece after another. Changchun basically cleared the infected cases in dynamic society and some colleagues returned to the company.
Jilin province governor and related officers visited company on Apr. 14th to supervise and guide our recovery preparation onsite. We were highly recognized. With the support of government and customer, the qualified recovery staff got the outing permission.
Till now, 200 colleagues live in plant for work, including 170 Webasto colleagues, 16 from admin suppliers and 14 from logistic third party. Company continues the closed and grid management.
Besides, we expect to accommodate 48 staff more in the next days to prepare for further delivery.
In advance, we purchased a new batch of living materials including bed and personal hygiene products. Water, food and fruit are adequate. Due to more people, we should further strengthen the management during this specific period.
This is a crucial step to win this “battle” and we believe we are near to the success.

Yesterday, we disinfected the living area thoroughly, investigated and coordinated the staff in urgent. This morning, another 88 colleagues get out from community and live in school from today. The local authority makes PCR test for all staff. They will be involved in company production after 3-day “quiescent status” under closed management. At the same time, all living materials are already prepared and arrived.

Under the guidance of Changchun municipal government and medical staff, all the staff of Webasto (Changchun) are united in overcoming difficulties. After more than 50 days of separation, we finally get together again today!

On March 12, 2022, Changchun government issued an emergency epidemic prevention and control policy. As one of HSE, I was instantly sucked into the hurricane and started a high-intensity rotation. I worked almost every day from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. Tracked the epidemic prevention and control requirements, dealt with various emergencies, and immediately updated the epidemic prevention and control plan if there was any sign of trouble. I could answer and make up to 200 calls every day. The bathroom, living room, bedroom and restaurant were all my battlefields. Now when I think back, I am surprised that I have experienced such a home office time.

On March 24, the management and control were comprehensively upgraded. My 7-year-old daughter and I accompanied each other at home. The whole day's meetings often made me unable to prepare meals on time, checked her online homework, or played with her for a while. Too much work pressure made me lose my temper with her from time to time, complaining about her mischief or the completion of her homework. I always felt guilty and reluctant to give up when calmed down, but my little angel not only never complained, but also silently supported me around.
Seeing that I had no time for breakfast, she spread jam on the bread slices, cut them and put them on the table. At noon, I saw her carrying a stool into the kitchen and standing on the stool to cook noodles for me while I was in a meeting. Although sometimes it was salty or not cooked, I thought it was the most delicious food in the world. Since the March, COVID-19 is on the rise in Shenyang. The SY plant management team held an emergency meeting at the first time to actively cooperate with the government in epidemic prevention and discuss the internal emergency plan. In order to prevent employees from being unable to reach the factory in their residence, the management made a quick decision and decided to live in a hotel and implement the "two points and one line" commuting mode to ensure production. After receiving the information, the production department, me, SCM and QA operation departments immediately found out the prevention and control policies of employees' residences, counted the information of residents, and the administration department contacted the surrounding hotels at the first time to arrange logistics support. On that night, all the people who should be accommodated were completed to ensure the smooth progress of production.
On April 2, a week later, we went through a very difficult period. Everyone was isolated at home. Shenyang City issued orders No. 37 to 42 intensively. The good news is that we can apply to the government for partial resumption of work and production. On April 18, the morning was sunny. More than 230 employees of the factory returned to their jobs. On March 16, according to the emergency epidemic prevention meeting, more than 50 employees needed to live in the hotel that night. Most hotels were closed, and some were requisitioned by the government. The HR& Admin colleague, Yang Yufei looked for hotels one by one within 10 kilometers. Eventually, all the employees lived in hotel.

In accordance with government's requirements on epidemic prevention, SCM guys firmly choose to “get back to work and devote themselves to the work” To ensure material supply, SCM guys have overcame lots of difficulties and successfully get 161 P/Ns from 31 suppliers arrived on time. They keep working day and night, tracking raw materials every hour, monitoring suppliers’ production every day. They always work till mid night. Due to severe epidemic situation, supply chain is seriously impacted by road control. SCM manager Kathy has tried every best to coordinate all sources for transportation. When the truck encountered municipal strict inspection on highway, SCM guys even go to unload raw materials on site at mid night。To meet government requirement and guarantee safety, SCM guys disinfect raw materials one by one carefully, strictly implementing the standards.
